Layouts I Love is my new project for 2026 for social media.

After a few years of unsure use, I’ve decided on a couple of things in regards to social media. I am not an influencer or content creator, or even much of an online personality. I have no interest in putting my personal life out there as a brand. I am always impressed by those who can.

So that leaves posting about opinions. While negative posts tend to be more popular, I think it would hurt me to be like that all the time. So I’m going to go with something I actually love: showing off cool layouts I find in the world.

So I’ve changed my Instagram, Threads, and Bluesky accounts over to a new handle. You can follow them from the links. It does bother me a bit that they don’t match.

My first thought was that I could make this a little more efficient by building a Figma template. Dropping in images into “Portrait 1” fills out the other two social media sizes. So far, I’ve only needed Portrait (1080 x 1350), but the others are for contextual differences. I might add a wide variant at some point for multi-image posts on Bluesky.

After placing and framing images, the final result looks fairly pleasing.

My second efficiency is with using Power Rename. Adding ^ to the name field adds a prefix to the file name, so it’s easy to batch rename 15 files like this.

Actual posting is manual. Over the years, I’ve found that no automatic app actually helps with this, and just slows things down. I’m using Notion as a posting calendar, and a place to keep copy and tags straight.

I’ll be updating this page as the project has major updates.
