After several hours of walking through the impressive 50th annual @ooak_toronto show, I spotted a stack of Azure magazines on the table near the exit. Hey, what’s one more thing to carry, I thought. I asked the person at the desk how much. They said, “they’re free”. I said, “Shouldn’t be.” Azure is a good one.
The size of the thing is the first thing you notice. A magazine in 2025 the size of a medium pizza box shouldn’t be possible anymore.
Columns with nice wraps, assets arranged to catch the eye enough to make you look back at the description.
Later on, in a feature with a more defined layout, there’s still this detail on the top left; the pull quote transformed as an arc. Dig it.
