Anime Herald has been around for over fifteen years as a website, but this is their first print magazine. I was delighted to see a copy for sale at Anime North in Toronto.
I love this two-column format with larger type. It makes it a joy to read.
I love the tiny detail changes from article to article to help set the tone. The Witch Hat Atelier interview looks like it’s been designed with the aesthetics of the show in mind.
The magazine concludes with a section of endnotes, which are helpful for when you’re actually looking things up from the articles. It’s great.
